Dontex Performance is a family owned and operated business, in the heart of Vermont just off Canterbury Rd. We are locals to the area and pride ourselves on relationships, technical precision and honesty. The automotive industry has some stigmas surrounding it and it is our goal to change that with professional hi-end performance work and servicing.
An Established Name
Dontex Performance are Australia’s premier performance workshop for Jeep, RAM, Dodge and Chrysler. We have grown over the years to now be recognised as Australia's No1 Hemi performance destination specialising in late model vehicles. Dontex Performance are a one stop shop for performance upgrades as well as on-line parts sales.
30+ Years of Experience
Dontex principal Lee Forward began his career in the automotive industry over 30 years ago. He has managed sizable dealerships with over 50 staff, and it was during his time at Ballarat Jeep that Lee's passion for all things Hemi grew, and eventually lead to him taking the leap and acquiring the existing business of Dontex Auto around 2016.
Dontex Auto was originally located in Donvale, and took it's name from an amalgam of the location and the 'Caltex' service station that it was based in and retained that name when relocated to 3 Trade Place Vermont. Fast forward then to 2016 when Lee and Natalie purchased Dontex, and with Lee's passion and knowledge the business quickly grew to address the gap of expertise in Hemi performance modifications and parts availability in Australia.
Today Dontex Performance has now grown again to a new & bigger premises over the road at 8-10 Trade Place. Lee's team of hand picked specialist technicians have vast experience in the world of Hemi performance and vehicle servicing, which explains why Dontex Performance has grown to be Australia's premier destination and foremost recognised Hemi specialist.
